There has been increased demand for last-mile delivery services in recent years. However, most last-mile delivery companies have focused on food and general grocery deliveries, leaving a gap in the market for the delivery of medical products and devices.
MAYD provides a mobile application for the ordering of medicine and beauty products, focusing on providing a sleek user interface to make the service accessible and approachable. The service, which was initially launched across several German cities, does not charge delivery fees and aims to deliver products to the homes of customers within 30 minutes.
Whilst other startups are developing last-mile delivery services for prescription drugs to tackle bottlenecks in the order fulfillment of pharmacies, MAYD has taken a unique approach by focusing instead on over-the-counter medications and beauty products. It now offers more than 3,000 healthcare related goods and is focused on further expansion.
