To empower everyone to learn design & code live.
The global eLearning market was already worth more than $200 billion before it took another shot in the arm during the height of the pandemic. During this period, hundreds of startups moved into the space, ramping up the level of competition. Plenty have fallen by the wayside, some have treaded water, and a few have really blossomed.
Founded in 2020, Memorisely falls into the latter camp. Rather than trying to be a catch-all eLearning provider, the startup has been clever to zero in on high-demand, high-paying skills (UX design and coding in particular) while also focusing heavily on its community-building efforts. With no VC backing (something it's very proud of), the company has grown a pretty huge global community and loyal following.
While the average completion rate for online courses is just over 10%, Memorisely claims to have a 100% completion rate. It’s a staggering return, and it most likely won’t hold out forever, but it’s a great reflection of the company’s start to life nonetheless.
