Our take
Commercial and industrial companies are sometimes deterred from decarbonising their energy and sustainability strategies due to the lack of economic incentives. It’s difficult to justify to shareholders the idea of going green, or at least carbon offsetting if it will damage business. Metris combats this by empowering industrial and commercial property owners through solar tech.
Not only does Metris offer solar tech installation solutions, but also the software to help businesses monetise and manage a portfolio of rooftop solar projects. What’s more, customers needn’t have specialist knowledge or take on new hires to do so. The end-to-end partnership between Metris and its clients aims to make each building a unique green power plant.
Metris is a small and young company, but its founders have experience mentoring for the likes of Tech Nation and developing technology projects at leading software companies. Metris’s frictionless and scaleable solar power venture is in early access stages and is in a strong position to draw in clients.
