Midnight Mansion's mission is to add more delight into the world.
Our take
Immersive experiences have become extremely popular in recent years as whole-room projection technology and augmented reality devices have increased in sophistication. Now it’s possible to take in a work of art from within the painting itself, as in the famous Van Gogh Starry Night exhibition, or learn about Ancient Egypt in person via the National Geographic’s “Beyond King Tut” experience. Aside from showstoppers such as these a vast number of more casual events have sprung up including pop-up bars, escape rooms and other experiences which offer something a bit more hands on than sitting in an audience or watching a screen.
Midnight Mansion, based in Boston, is one such immersive entertainment company, aiming to tell stories through puzzles, interactive art and in-person experiences. While it is yet to open its flagship location, its team is capitalizing on its background in design, entertainment and software engineering to deliver design and consulting projects for external partners, while also building out its own technology for use in its shows.
At the moment, the company is keeping quiet about its own immersive experience, and it will be exciting to see what Midnight Mansion has planned for its audiences on opening night.
