Miga Health exist to help people lead the long, healthy lives they deserve, by preventing the next million heart attacks and strokes.
Our take
Heart disease and strokes are a leading cause of death and disability in the United States. But 80% of premature heart disease and stroke are preventable, per the CDC. Miga Health are hoping to tackle this imbalance.
The startup’s central offering is a digital consumer health app similar to meditation app Headspace or language learning platform Duolingo, with the added feature of clinical care. Crucially, from the outset this will include at-home blood pressure monitoring, delivered through a native mobile experience, and coupled with telemedicine consultations, mail-order pharmacy, and lifestyle coaching.
The startup is focused on refining and launching its product and adjacent services. Initially, clinical services will only be available in a limited number of US states.
