Our take

People leaders regularly struggle to engage their employees in impactful workplace initiatives. Additionally, nearly 80% of donations are made at the end of every year, leaving nonprofits wanting for funding the rest of the year. Millie is helping to solve this with a workplace giving platform designed to make charitable giving fun, accessible and impactful. Their solutions allow businesses to build a culture of giving and amplify the impact of their employees and customers. Via a wide range of schemes, ranging from donation-matching to volunteering initiatives, Millie's key strategy is centred on making it easier for businesses to engage in and perpetuate social responsibility.

In recent years, the world has become increasingly aware of the need for social responsibility. The summer of 2020, for example, has been labelled by some commentators as the "Summer of Activism", and this reflects a growing spirit of social engagement which has persisted ever since. This is great news for Millie - if they can give this growing movement a vessel for creating tangible positive impact, they will be well on their way to creating the change they want to see in the world.
