Mirror's mission is to help regulated businesses onboard customers, acting as the first line of defence against fraud.

Mirror Identity is a service helping UK-based regulated legal firms onboard clients faster by providing digital ID-verification through biometrics, proof of address, and background checks. This approach to identity verification, now that workforces are remote and cyberfraud increasing, is beginning to see broader uptake in the once-hesitant legal community. It's even recently received explicit support from the UK government.
Firms can, of course, carry out their own compliance checks, but this means spending time on admin instead of clocking in billable hours. So Mirror’s three-click solution should prove attractive, especially once skepticism towards the process thaws.
Mirror faces stiff competition. The likes of Veriff and Onfido are well-funded and well-established in this sector, and the latter is a major player in the UK market. Wresting customers off of a company with a strong market reputation may prove tricky in this field. What will play in Mirror’s favour is the company’s relative youth, and therefore agility. This could prove crucial in growing in line with the rapidly-developing tech scene.
