To provide a modern solution to long queues faced in retail stores, MishiPay offers a self-checkout app for customers that eradicates the need to queue in line. The app can create custom payment app solutions for their clients, essentially providing every store with their own Amazon Go experience at only a fraction of the cost.
The startup believes their patent-pending technology and seamless integration will allow them to compete against other technology self-checkout products competing to capture this lucrative market. MishiPay has already won the backing of American Express Ventures as well as large retailers such as Mango and Leroy Merlin.
The company appears to be going from strength to strength, and has been taken up by numerous retailers, most recently including stores in the UK and airports in the US. This is helping to position MishiPay well against major competitors like Amazon.
