To make meat that is better for you and the world.
12% employee growth in 12 months
With the rise in awareness around sustainable and ethical meat production and responding to the urgent need for alternative solutions, Mission Barns have developed a scalable way to make meat without the animal.
Whilst most of their competitors like UPSIDE Food and Impossible Foods focus on protein, Mission Barns are more interested in the fat, which it creates from the harvested stem cell of animals. The lack of that “juicy” fat taste has been a major block in the mainstream adoption of alternative meats.
Mission's plan is to license it’s lab grown fat to established substitute meat companies so they can enhance existing products, as well as establishing themselves in the expanding “meatless” market. With a recent addition of $24m in venture capital funding they are building a full scale production facility, as well as expanding their team significantly.
