To bring robotic technologies to every home.
Following six years of development, Moley Robotics has launched a robotic kitchen which houses everything you’d expect - an oven, hob and sink - but with two dexterous robotic arms that allow it to cook.
The company’s luxury kitchen-chefs can retrieve ingredients from the smart fridge, adjust hob temperatures, fill pans, pour, mix, and plate up its concoctions and can even clean up afterwards. The intended philosophy is to transform the cooking process and free individuals up when preparing food. Moley have launched at an opportune time with the robot kitchen market forecasted to see substantial growth in the coming years, especially their deployment in hotels and restaurants.
Moley is releasing its Chef's Kitchen in 2023, which will collect valuable insights into efficiency and waste minimisation. It is also a viable solution for staff shortages globally, and includes scaleable hardware that can fit seamlessly into the operations of an already functioning kitchen. This new hardware does come with a hefty price tag and the Chef's Kitchen's sales and performance remain to be seen, but it does have the potential to make a real difference in the restaurant market.
