To help organisations create interactive experiences for passionate audiences.
The proliferation of digital entertainment has made passive entertainment such as television a little less enticing (or possible) for audiences, who have an expectation of interaction and a huge number of devices vying for our attention. Helping to get eyes on (and generate income) for advertisers is Monterosa, a company that uses the possibilities of interactive platforms such as smart televisions and phones to increase engagement with television content.
Monterosa's engagement platform adds real-time purchasing ("shop the merch" buttons and QR codes for instance), voting systems and various kinds of gamification apps to an otherwise passive television experience. This has been appreciated by both audiences and clients, with greatly increased engagement and retained viewership. It reaches 100 million users a year and major companies using the company's platform include ITV, EA Sports and Six Nations Rugby.
Monterosa has raised capital to be put towards further developing its product offerings. Although primarily UK-based, it has recently been increasing its operations overseas, focusing particularly on the US market where it has made strategic partnerships to help grow its presence.
