To help organisations create interactive experiences for passionate audiences.
The proliferation of digital entertainment has made passive TV entertainment less enticing for audiences, who have an expectation of interaction - and other devices vying for their attention. Helping to get eyes back on television is Monterosa, a company that uses interactive platforms such as smart TVs and phones to increase engagement with television content.
By getting eyes back on the TV, Monterosa serves both broadcasters and advertisers. It can add features like real-time purchasing, voting systems and various kinds of gamification to an otherwise passive experience, increasing audience engagement and viewer retention. The company reaches 100 million people a year and has major companies using its platform - like ITV, EA Sports and Six Nations Rugby.
Monterosa has raised capital to be put towards further developing its product offerings. Although primarily UK-based, it has been increasing its operations overseas, focusing particularly on the US market where it has made strategic partnerships to help grow its presence.
