To empower and secure creators and digital freelancers as the leading force driving the new way of work.
Freelancing offers a lot of benefits compared to a nine to five job - the ability to work your own hours, set your own goals and be in business for yourself. But one thing that freelancers often dread is invoicing - when it comes to getting paid, late payments are a continuous burden. In fact, invoicing and accounting in general is a major difficulty for up to a third of freelancers.
Moojo exists to simplify this issue, providing a payments and invoicing platform made specifically for freelancers. While products like this exist, built into the likes of Stripe and PayPal, two other platforms favoured by freelancers - Moojo stands out with its instant payments feature, which allows creators to receive payments from clients instantly, rather than following a standard invoicing procedure. It also offers insurance products tailored to freelance workers through a partnership with specialist insurer Hiscox.
The popularity of its solution has not gone unnoticed and Moojo has recently received significant investment in a seed funding round. This will go towards developing its platform and expanding the range of financial products it offers, including loans for its customers. As freelancers and project workers are the fastest growing categories of workers in the European Union, Moojo is well positioned to develop into a significant business in this space.
