To enable expecting parents to create beautiful and personalisable baby shower wishlists so they get exactly what they need for their new baby.
Although baby showers are an American tradition, much like Halloween and Black Friday it has firmly spread to the UK, with the majority of expectant parents inviting friends and families to celebrate the upcoming birth. However, this is more complicated than it sounds, with guests often not knowing what the family will need, and goods and prices varying wildly from store to store.
MyCrib aims to solve these problems with an online baby shower registry, allowing expectant parents to create a wishlist for gifts which friends and family can purchase. While it’s not the only entrant in this market which includes the likes of MyRegistry and Amazon Baby Wishlist, it is one of very few universal registers – meaning it can list products from any store – and it is alone in providing real-time pricing information.
While it remains to be seen how MyCrib will fare against the market incumbents in this space, it has already garnered an excellent reputation for itself which will provide it a solid foundation to build on. Additionally, the baby shower has proven to be no passing fad, and there is plenty of room for multiple registries to meet the demand for baby shower gifts. MyCrib is in a strong position to develop into a significant business over the coming years.
