Our take
Smart watches like those made by Apple and Samsung have taken the world by storm, providing fitness monitoring and social functions at a glance. NIMMSTA takes the flexibility and functionality of the smartwatch and instead applies it to the manufacturing industry.
Integrating optimised workflows and high-performance intralogistics, NIMMSTA’s smart wearables claim to help increase manufacturing productivity by up to 50%. Workers wear the product, which displays the workflow and is connected to the warehouse management system, offering a new level of communication between management and workers.
NIMMSTA's product has massive potential in an industry that is in the midst of a tech revolution, standing out because it keeps the focus on the human-led production line rather than robotic aid. The jury’s still out on which of these approaches is better for manufacturing, but nonetheless NIMMSTA has enjoyed several rounds of funding that will be used to further develop its platform and accelerate sales and marketing.
