To support mothers through every step of the pregnancy journey and after their baby is born.
While the USA has an extremely advanced healthcare system, maternal mortality rates are the highest of all developed countries. Inequality in access to maternal healthcare means that mothers, particularly from Black, Indigenous and Hispanic communities, are two to three more times likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women.
Nadia Care (formerly Cayaba Care) was founded in 2020 to help reverse this - by providing care for pregnant women in underserved communities at no or little cost. By providing a single point of contact for patients and carrying out regular in-home and virtual visits it aims to greatly increase health outcomes for people who are not currently being served by the US healthcare system.
The company has also raised significant funding, which will allow it to expand its service starting with New Jersey, with several other states in its sites. With this expansion will come hiring in health, sales and tech as it seeks to develop its technology to better reach underserved communities.
