Neuron's mission is to connect stakeholders to the planet's entire bandwidth of IoT resources without the need for a trusted intermediary, by providing ecosystem participants with decentralised protocols that give them the ability to exchange value peer-to-peer based on community agreed standards
Alexa, Google Home and Siri have spearheaded the growth of private Internet of Things (IoT) networks, allowing thermostats, lightbulbs, speakers and much more to be controlled from smart devices. But despite the rapid rollout of IoT outside the home in applications such as EV chargers, air quality sensors and even vending machines, there is no similar infrastructure in place. Neuron Innovations aims to change that, providing a peer-to-peer network that makes public IoT devices discoverable to third party applications.
With a founding team with years of experience in remotely piloted aircraft and aerospace technologies, it makes sense for Neuron to begin its work with UAVs. It has developed 4DSky, a product which leverages sensor data and flight information to track zone movements through civilian airspace. This is a vital link in the puzzle to allow companies to operate drones at scale beyond line-of-sight, making commercial drone deliveries a possibility.
Having conducted successful tests of its technology throughout the UK, the company aims to develop its solution for all possible drone use cases, aiming to transform the UK's supply chain with this new technology. If it is successful, it will be well poised to grow into other verticals, adapting its technology to connect IoT devices across a wide range of industries.
