To design and execute innovative solutions that leverage technology, policy, and markets to support a sustainable future.
Efficient energy solutions are immensely sought after nowadays, with the hope to better our climate impact and also save money in the ever-changing economy. NineDot Energy takes on an interesting pursuit, looking to deliver clean energy solutions for urban energy grids in New York and beyond.
With the hope to transform age-old power plants into modern clean energy grids, NineDot delivers distributed battery storage systems that charge up from the power grid when energy is cheaper and cleaner and export back to the grid when the power grid is overstressed. Its system has been showcased in the vehicle-to-grid (V2G) charging system - an experiment held in New York.
Since founding in 2015 the company has acquired impressive amounts of funding and established several battery storage sites, with more under construction. It has also partnered with companies such as Tesla to explore further energy solutions, which has helped it build its reputation. NineDot Energy is using its most recent investment to support expansion of its mission as it moves to strengthen local power grid infrastructure.
