Company mission

To build a tribe of visionary women whose passion is building and creating disruptive ideas and technologies that drive society forward.

Our take

Many Black women face huge barriers to achieving their goals. The Niyo Group is setting out to change this problem by using creative entrepreneurship tools to promote equality and agency.

The Niyo Group is a grass-roots organization that began when founder Oyinkansola Adebayo began braiding women's hair in the Midlands. The operation soon expanded into a braiding course, before scaling into a more expansive training programme that empowered Black women to pursue careers in business and technology. Today, Niyo has three main brands, including the Niyo Dapp, which marks a timely move into the Web 3.0 space. This venture is a strong indicator of The Niyo Group's forward-facing strategy.

The Niyo Group has steadily built a strong foundation. In recent years, it has worked hard to refine its identity, moving into new spaces while continuing to promote entrepreneurship through hair and beauty. What's more, the company has scaled its team by over 400%, facilitating the further diversification of its product range.
