To help entrepreneurs solve the world’s greatest challenges.
Norrsken, that describes itself as an "impact ecosystem", supplies capital and knowledge for entrepreneurs, as well as access to a community network of their peers. The firm focusses on supporting startups that combine profit with positive global impact, working out of its award-winning Norrsken House hubs in Stockholm, Kigali and Barcelona.
The VC arm of the company has already raised over $500 million through five funds. This has enabled it to support companies such as Einride, that makes electric autonomous trucks; Elypta, a cancer detection startup; and fusion reactor manufacturer Renaissance Fusion. Interestingly, Norrsken also embarks on its own initiatives, which are often high-risk projects with the potential to make a huge impact, that the firm says would usually be avoided by other investors.
By supporting founders and businesses with a desire to improve people's lives, Norrsken is set to play an important role in tackling issues such as healthcare access and climate change. Moving forwards, it will continue to facilitate impact and help draw further attention to the people driving change around the globe.
