Our take

Every year $600 billion in goods crosses the US-Mexico border, while at the global level, cargo loss costs more than $50 billion. Nuvocargo’s digital logistics platform allows freight companies and purchasers to maintain full visibility of cargo along US-Mexico trade routes, as well as taking care of customs brokerage, insurance and trade financing.

Nuovocargo’s app addresses the lack of cargo visibility and time consuming analog bureaucracy that appears when goods reach the border. Nuvocargo allows users to stay informed while freight is moving through customs, checked in warehouses and restored before drivers set off again. The centralized information provided on the app interface also results in there being just a single supply chain audit trail, negating the need to chase up multiple stakeholders and involved parties.

Nuvocargo has secured funding from leading investors which they aim to use to improve their trade financing service, a feature which may well set them apart from more established competitors like FreightVerify and Emerge.
