To become the no.1 platform for mass-market fashion to live a second life. This means making sustainable fashion accessible and affordable to all. We are pioneering a fashion exchange platform that empowers users to recirculate their clothes.

Our take

As the rise of second-hand clothing giants like Grailed and Goat is demonstrating, sustainable, “slow” fashion is soaring in popularity, particularly with Gen Z, who are keen to stall the fast fashion industry.

Nuw’s clothes swapping app offers an interesting alternative by removing purchasing or auctioneering from the equation. Instead it uses a subscription model, allowing users to swap goods at their will.

After a few years of steady and deliberate development in its home base in Dublin, where it started as a simple outfit swap for the Trinity University Ball, the startup’s popularity has grown incredibly in recent years.

After moving HQ to London, launching its community-driven app across the UK and Ireland, and securing seed funding, the company is now looking set to scale up and become a big name in the sustainable fashion industry.
