Our take
On a mission to change urban mobility, Berlin-based ONO has developed a way to effectively execute micromobility-powered urban logistics through its core product, ONO e-cargo bike. The product combines the flexibility of a bicycle with the capacity and durability of a delivery truck to provide sustainable and effective transportation of goods.
ONO stands out as a largely vertically integrated company, which is to say that it designs its own vehicles and manufactures them in Berlin. This enables the company to customise containers for specific customer needs. It is currently growing another business unit that offers a logistics operations team, to eventually offer ONO-hired delivery riders.
The company has secured respectable funding, reflecting the efforts being made by cities and logistics companies to find more sustainable and efficient solutions for delivering packages in urban centres. Its primary focus is to invest capital into expanding across Europe and North America as it looks to continue its strong growth.
