Company mission

Observe Tech are on a mission to maximise aquaculture farms' potential. They aim to do this using state-of-the-art algorithms that monitor farms, helping fish farmers to manage their site more efficiently.

Our take

AI has come a long way since 2010, and is already becoming a more integrated part of everyday life. For fish farming, this approach is fast becoming a popular way to help farmers’ business and fight illegal fishing.

Observe Tech has been making strides to build the world’s first artificial intelligence platform for helping aquaculture farmers decide how best to manage their farms. Their unique approach includes smart alerts, remote management, sustainable goals and no extra equipment on top of existing cage equipment.

Observe Tech has some stiff competition in their field, including eFishery, who has developed a system using sensors to detect hunger and control dispensers to release the right level of fish food. Their claim to reduce feed costs by 21% is a direct challenge to Observe’s own food reduction aims.

Observe’s team are young and well educated in tech and business, and their intelligent AI technology combined with an increasing acceptance and use of AI in aquaculture positions them well for continued success.
