Odore's mission is to bring digital and data to sampling, providing data driven sampling solutions so brands get to know their customers better.
According to Odore, samples are one of the most important factors in buying decisions, yet the distribution infrastructure did not develop in order to cater for this. Moreover, the customer insights influencing buying decisions are often undervalued. Odore aims to solve these problems by using data-driven methods to ensure that the brands’ products reach the right customers.
Odore works with more than 80 beauty brands, including LVMH, Estee Lauder, and L’Oréal and their main focus is to develop curated experiences to engage with customers in order to attract more brands in their portfolio. It acts both as a sampling service but also as an insight data platform. Odore distributes fragrance samples online, attracting consumers through hyper-targeted social media and email marketing campaigns, but also offline, through vending machines that dispense samples. In exchange for the samples, consumers express their honest feedback about the product.
The company will use recent funding to further the startup’s mission of putting customer engagement back into the hands of brands, investing in its platform capabilities, international expansion and expanding the team.
