Our take

Oliva offers access to a 100% evidence-based care model for employers to help their employees with a wide range of mental health needs. It consists of a team of qualified mental health professionals, personalized therapist matching and dedicated training & support for managers.

After a short survey, users are matched with a highly-trained, experienced therapist within 72 hours, and can start getting help through modern, evidence-based techniques straight away. Its meaningful, focused conversation approach achieves effective results and reduces distractions.

Businesses are increasingly recognising the need to provide better support, and mitigate the impacts of, mental health-related absence. Oliva targets SME and high-growth companies and counts the likes of Learnerbly, Maze and Belvo among its customers.

It is using its $14 million in funding to build new digital tools, add additional languages and time zones, and add workshops and self-guided content to support its aim of helping the one in six people who experience mental health problems in the workplace, which research shows contributes to 12.7% of all sickness absence days in the UK.
