Our take

Nowadays, to retain and gain customers, businesses must broaden the range of services they provide. This can be difficult for specialist providers, such as insurers, who may lack the expertise to develop such offerings in-house. Onpier connects insurance companies to a range of services providers that they can integrate into their own products, to bolster what they offer and remain a strong choice for consumers.

Onpier, founded in 2021, was built on the logic of the app store – with insurers searching the services they want to offer and integrating them directly from Onpier, making it immediately available to their customers. The value for service providers is in receiving high-quality leads from the insurance companies with a high chance they will close them.

All in all, the company sees itself as a “pier” for insurers and service partners, who dock into the platform and can then benefit from one another. Onpier has had a positive reception thus far, and funds secured by the company will allow it to implement more use cases and accelerate business development.
