Our take

Opscura, formerly Enigmedia (which was founded in Spain over a decade ago), was officially launched in February 2023. The company provides solutions purpose-built for organizations to gain deep OT visibility and provide access control capabilities between IT and OT networks. This cloaking technology ultimately provides protection for legacy industrial assets and data, reducing the OT attack surface.

Its collaborative approach across OT, IT, and automation provides a vital service within the ICS security ecosystem. The company’s growing portfolio partners includes several large brand names as customers, including Schneider Electric, Telefonica, and Fortinet.

Opscura’s rebrand was announced alongside a $9.4 million Series A funding round – led by Anzu Partners – and is focused on accelerating its global expansion within the United States.
