The people at Opvia (Opvians) are brilliant. Everyone is very friendly and I immediately felt very welcome and got to know everyone early on as we are all encouraged to have 1-to-1 chats with new starters. There's a great working atmosphere and people are always happy to help each other out.

From day one my opinions and ideas were listened to and valued. Ideas are generally shared in slack channels for everyone to see and discuss, which allows anyone to share their thoughts on the matter. There is a great company culture where everyone genuinely cares about the company and the product, so if you have an opinion, we all want to hear it.

I really believe in the product. It's far from perfect, but it's already great and gets better everyday thanks to our software engineers. If my previous employer used Opvia, it would have saved me hours of playing with spreadsheets and inputting data from paper files, so I can see how valuable it can be.

Really interesting problems to solve and a lot of freedom to discuss ideas with the team. I'm genuinely excited to go into work every day and see what the day will bring - the potential for growth and learning here is huge.

Team leads and leaders are all very kind and supportive. I had to go through major surgeries during my probation period, and the team always supported me giving me the time off I needed and were always genuinely invested in me.

The problems we're tackling are challenging and complex. We're building for users in highly technical, precision-led, regulated verticals. Our users need powerful software that helps them design processes and collaborate across functions, departments, skills, and more.

I joined Opvia only two weeks ago, but so far it's been a thrilling and experience. From day one, the team has had great expectations of me to lead product development efforts, all while providing a lot of support and trust in me. There are many competitors in the space. But none have yet cracked the solution for the problems that we've challenged ourselves with. It's been interesting to see that some features we build in the past were built much later by other, more prominent companies in other verticals. Although a mere coincidence, it shows that we're innovative and aiming to stay ahead of the curve of user experience in software.

Open communication and shared ownership of the product is a really nice aspect of our work. Everyone is encouraged to contribute across the board, some of the best inspiration in Design, UX, and functionality has come from members of the team without a formal background in the latter domains.

The product is ambitious in scope and complexity, and most days require some degree of cognitive workout. The rewards are worth the effort, I now feel more capable and confident approaching and tackling thornier architectural and systems level challenges.

Opvia is going through an exciting period of growth, it's a joy to welcome new team members and celebrate new sales. It's also an awesome time to shape our processes and have input on the direction of the company as a whole.

Lots of hiring going on meaning we regularly need to move to a larger office! Roles and responsibilities are constantly growing and there's a lot of momentum and excitement at the moment. Great time to be here and it's only getting better.
