Osu's mission is to empower the UK’s self-employed to send invoices, get paid on time, and take control of their business.
0% employee growth in 12 months
With more than 4 million self-employed professionals in the UK, chasing payments is one of their biggest daily frustrations. Launched in 2020, Osu allows users to automate tasks such as sending invoices and accepting payments, removing traditional pain points for many self-employed.
Unlike traditional payment solutions, users signing up to Osu can get started within a matter of minutes. By circumventing the legacy payment rails and by harnessing the power of Open Banking, Osu is creating a next-generation gateway providing direct account-to-account payments.
Initially focusing on payments, invoicing and scheduling, Osu plans to introduce a host of new business management features to further simplify operations for the self-employed – including direct communication with customers, calendar integrations, and the creation of mini-sites to help users generate an online presence. As the number of self-employed grow and become an increasingly important part of the economy, Osu could see a lot of business coming its way.
