Our take

OurPeople is a UK-based startup that embraces the remote work boom. As an internal communication tool and engagement platform, OurPeople is a mobile platform that connects businesses to their employees via a secure network.

Founded in 2016, it’s almost as if OurPeople foresaw the boom in hybrid and remote work culture. With many companies finding it difficult to stay connected with their remote employees, OurPeople provides a solution for integration and unity. Investors saw its potential too in 2020 when the company secured $2 million in Series A funding.

Since its founding, OurPeople’s clients have included the likes of Virgin Active UK, West Ham United Foundation, and Serco Leisure, exemplifying how diverse its client base is. That being said, its popularity shows how its clients are similar in their commitment to unifying their workforces.

Though it might on the surface seem as though OurPeople is similar to apps such as Slack, OurPeople has a more streamlined and focused platform, and more mobile-optimised than competitors.
