To put quantum in the hands of humanity, empowering customers to discover new commercial and scientific frontiers.
Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) tackles the limitations of traditional computing by accelerating quantum computing. Recognising quantum's potential to address complex challenges in climate change and drug discovery, the company's Quantum Compute-as-a-Service (QCaaS) model aims to usher in a new era of technological breakthroughs.
The company has already secured a leg-up in the field with a $100M Series B funding round, which marks the largest Series B in quantum computing in the UK, and will enable OQC to intensify its research and development. Reportedly, the company is poised to bring forth next-generation quantum platforms that will use hundreds of qubits, advancing that bit further towards the ultimate potential of quantum computers.
For now, OQC has unveiled "OQC Toshiko", the world's first enterprise-ready quantum computing platform. This 32-qubit platform - deployed to commercial data centers - targets industries dealing with sensitive data, such as finance, pharmaceuticals, energy, defense, and government. With this, OQC positions itself to redefine computing paradigms and contribute to solving some of the world's most pressing challenges.
