To make the world a friendlier place to live.
Pally is a new entrant to the social app space. Still very much in development, the hyperlocal social media platform takes verified users and curates them into group chats, based on detailed information like goals, interests, locations, and hobbies. The idea is that conversations, and ultimately friendships, will be sparked.
The broad concept is tried and tested with friendship matchmaking services Bumble, Friender, and Meetup finding moderate success. With reports showing that use of this kind of service is on the up, especially among the highly desirable Generation Z demographic, it may be that there is sufficient growing appetite for apps that challenge these major players. Especially as we move past the recent years of relative social isolation.
What Pally hopes will set them apart, is the automatic group curation. This means that, unlike most other apps, there’s no swiping or browsing. With reports suggesting these features to be mental health stressors, it could be that Pally is redefining social apps in a more human and socially sustainable fashion.
