Patch helps bring plants to those in cities. Historically, it hasn't been easy to find high-quality plants when you're in an urban environment, Patch has changed that. It's the first direct-to-consumer supplier of indoor and outdoor plants and accessories.
The CEO's background in branding shines through with Patch. The website is beautiful and minimal (appealing to its millennial customers), and there are nice touches like renaming plants such as Kentia Saranopis Palm, and “Big Ken”.
50% of its customers have never bought a plant before, so the company is really opening the market to a whole new group of customers and giving them a lot of scope to disrupt the market.
Patch kicked off in London in 2015 before answering a nationwide call in March 2020. Since then the business has been booming with the increased eCommerce traffic and is always looking for ways to expand its product range and capitalise on the growing trends towards urbanisation.
