To protect lives, enforce weather safety policies, and minimize the impact of disruptive weather.
With weather patterns becoming increasingly unpredictable and very little in the way of centralised platforms for weather warnings outside of broad government alerts, Perry Weather has created a platform that simplifies weather safety decisions. Ultimately, different businesses and organisations such as schools, athletic organisations and hospitals will have different priorities when it comes to weather safety, and so Perry Weather’s platform enforces policies that are tailored to its customers.
Born out of meteorologist Colin Perry’s experience at leading newscasting organisations, the weather safety platform leverages software and connected hardware to provide weather alerts and empower various industries to make informed weather decisions. This is especially important for outdoor businesses like golf courses and athletic tracks but also caters to school districts, cities and universities, where extreme and unexpected weather patterns can significantly disrupt large numbers of people.
With a growing user base across the US, Perry Weather has sent out more than 50 million weather alerts to date. With a Series B of $15 million awarded in 2024, the company will accelerate product development. Its impressive customer base includes the NFL, MLB and PGA, indicating its benefits for high-value sports organisations, though its reach could extend to far more industries.
