Our take
In Europe alone, over 88 million tonnes of food end up in the bin every year. Phenix is a TechForGood startup company that has developed several solutions aimed at reducing food waste associated with unsold products.
The company partners with businesses across the entire food supply chain in order to target food waste on a large scale. Partnering with manufacturers, producers, retailers, shops, and more, Phenix enables consumers to buy unsold items from merchants at a reduced price.
The certified B-Corporation and ESUS – Social Utility Solidarity Company - has saved more than 200 million meals from simply being thrown away. The company’s sustainable growth model has supported Phenix's expansion efforts and its focus on strengthening its position in Europe.
