Company mission

To power the world by cheap, clean and abundant electricity.

Our take

As energy systems become cleaner, more distributed and diversified in response to the climate crisis, grids come under more stress and face challenges in maintaining the delicate balance of supply and demand. Piclo is leading the way in energy technology, making electricity grids more efficient, reliable and sustainable.

The company's online platform serves as an independent marketplace for flexibility products. Piclo enables technologies such as renewables, batteries and electric vehicles to provide local flexibility to distribution networks, smoothing out the complex transition to a decarbonised future and delivering low-cost and resilient grids.

The UK Government is committed to delivering a net zero economy by 2050 and energy flexibility is key to achieving this. With over 300 flex providers already registered, Piclo is expanding their platform, building on the success of its existing services, such as through an online auction process where users will be able to buy and sell flex and smart energy services.
