PixieBrix’s Chrome extension makes it possible for users to customize any web application with very little code. While it’s available for free to low-code-savvy individuals, PixieBrix makes its money from its B2B offering, through which companies can customize SaaS apps to improve user experience and productivity for entire teams.
While it's highly imaginative, PixieBrix may not seem so practical at first, but the thinking behind it is pretty astute. Users can essentially tailor SaaS apps and websites entirely to their own company needs. In theory, it could be used to declutter a Trello board, automatically extract new leads into Salesforce from another site, or send messages from Slack to any app.
It’s still very early days for PixieBrix, but it’s already received plenty of media attention, and perhaps more importantly, venture capital interest. Following New Enterprise Associates’ investment in the company, a scale-up looks to be on the cards.
