Plain wants to bring this change to customer service too, with its API-first platform that enables product and engineering teams at every scale to build great customer service. This rather niche focus, combined with how important customer service is to business success, provides ample opportunity for the company.
There are a lot of tools to compete with in the customer support space, including successful services like Intercom and Zendesk. Plain's product will need to be top-notch if it is to stand out, but it certainly has the team and backing to make it happen.
