Our take
PlayQ is a mobile game development company best known for titles like Taste Buds, Charm King and Bubble Blitz. The company launched in 2007, just as Facebook released Facebook Platform, allowing third party developers to easily build shareable apps and games.
Since then, the company has continued to grow, amassing 60 million+ downloads while sticking to its recipe of colorful graphics, nostalgic themes, and easy gameplay for mobile, tablet, and PC.
One of PlayQ’s most remarkable achievements is how it’s managed to scale and expand its footprint over the years, despite having only raised $10,000 from startup accelerator TechStars back in 2007.
