To provide the best sports booking experience in the UK
33% female employees
Playfinder’s online booking platform allows users to easily book sports facilities in their area, while solving the problems of under-booking and digital solutions deficits at small to medium size sports venues. Having first focused on the city of London alone, Playfinder currently operates in a number of other major cities and towns across the UK as well as in Dublin, Ireland.
Early growth was steady for the company after its 2014 inception, and in recent years the platform’s popularity has soared, quite akin to the growth of similar tech used by restaurants.
This surge in platform traffic helped Playfinder secure its first seven-figure investment from Armajaro Holdings as well as new Chairman, David Roberts. The next big steps for the company are to increase its inhouse talent pool, form further partnerships with sports companies, education boards, councils and private venue owners, and expand its footprint across the UK and Ireland.

When I started at Playfinder I sat down and went through KPIs and goals for both my main responsibilities and other things that I'm interested in. These included bits that I discussed in my interview. Monthly catch ups have allowed me to refine these goals to get a better understanding of how I can grow into the business.

Currently we come into the office three days a week. This was discussed and agreed upon as a team. If you need to take an extra day at home for whatever reason there is no issue whatsoever.

Felt right at home as soon as I started. There's plenty of opportunity to get to know people through regular out of work socials. These include casual drinks, sports and food!

There's a lot of knowledge spread around the team, so you can always learn something new from someone else. Even if it's not work related, everyone is from a different background!

As Playfinder's been remote working for over four years, there's a lot of experience about what works and what doesn't. Meetings won't crowd up your entire day, and you're left with a decent chunk of time to dedicate to your commitments

Playfinder's mission statement is basic, but very powerful. Wanting to enable more people to play sport, never mind what their background or location is a very clear goal. It feels like Playfinder really wants to make the world a happier, healthier place
