Our take

In its simplest terms, PlaytestCloud helps game studios create better games. Its platform conducts various playtests for mobile games at any stage of development, whether that's during prototyping or after release. At a time where mobile gaming is as accessible as ever, with a number of competing studios in an overly saturated market, PlaytestCloud is primed for uptake.

Indeed, this is also the case because of how the company stands out as one of the leading companies offering playtesting-as-a-service, and is able to help studios in a myriad of ways. Its platform helps reduce churn and drop-out rates and does this through connecting studios with a diverse set of international, ‘everyday’ players, who they can watch play the games and ask for direct feedback.

With over 8,000 users and 1.5 million test players across the world, the company has seen enormous growth since its founding in 2014. In 2022 alone, nearly 4,000 playtests were carried out. Games tested with its platform include ‘King of Thieves’, ‘The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land’, and ‘Star Trek Timelines’, to name but a few.
