Company mission

Pluto's vision is a world where everyone can afford the home of their dreams. In order to get there they are building the technology that allows people to buy homes gradually. Today, they're helping Shared Ownership residents buy equity in their property. In the future they will automate gradual ownership globally.

Our take

Purchasing a house has become increasingly difficult. The Shared Ownership scheme, in theory, should help solve the issues around buying a home. However people then go onto struggle to purchase more equity (also known as staircasing). The average fees to do this are very high and it can take a long time, resulting in only 10% of Shared Ownership residents staircasing per year.

Pluto is a platform setting out to change this through automating staircasing in Shared Ownership properties. The newly founded company is holding its cards close to its chest but they are clearly filling a much needed gap in the market.

A secured pre-seed funding round means we are sure to hear more soon from the company as they develop their product and increase their customer base.
