PocketLaw's mission is to build the next generation, all in one platform for B2B legal services to empower every company to future-proof its business and achieve more.
Despite mounting pressure to change, the legal world remains one of the slowest to innovate. Traditionally, lawyers have operated on a model heavily built around direct lawyer-client relations, which can be problematic for two reasons. Firstly, this makes lawyers expensive, especially for SMEs, who will often be excluded by costs from the best service. Secondly, it makes legal work inefficient, as individual lawyers wrestle with often mundane and repetitive paperwork. The industry, then, is ripe for disruption, and in recent years the world of legal tech has really started to take off.
At the forefront of the charge is PocketLawyer. Offering a digital solution to legal issues, especially those relating to the creation and management of contracts, PocketLaw enables SMEs to handle much of the legal side of their business in a user-friendly and affordable manner.
The digital transformation of legacy businesses and sectors was greatly accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to PocketLaw doubling its customer base and seeing a 500% revenue increase in the first half of 2021. Furthermore, it looks like this trend is going to last beyond the Pandemic. According to the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), small businesses in the UK lose up to £13.6 billion every year due to failures in taking care of their legal matters, and each of these businesses is a potential client for PocketLaw in a field which lacks any major direct competition.
