To spread empathy and connect people in the most authentic way possible.
Social media platforms are flooded with photos of carefully curated moments, even ‘candid’ photos are often planned out and posed. Poparazzi aims to change the narrative, where users capture and share their friends’ and family’s authentic moments, rather than promoting their own life.
The company gives users control by allowing them to approve who can take photos of them and what photos show up on their profile, eliminating the stress of having an authentic moment be remembered as a truly unflattering or uncomfortable memory.
The ‘anti-instagram’ social app has to compete with a slew of ‘authentic’ social media apps, such as BeReal and Yubo. With its primarily Gen-Z user base, Poparazzi will need to find a way of attracting other generational users and further differentiating themselves from its competition to be a truly unique platform.
