Our take

Millions of people have huge collections of photos on their phones but they hardly ever look at them. Popsa's goal is to help people record and share their experiences irrespective of their eye for design or their technical abilities.

The combination of a much more sophisticated aesthetic and the use of automation technology will help enable Popsa to turn the industry model on its head. Popsa has been developing applied Machine Learning pipelines to automatically select photos, filter out inappropriate content, and design them into beautiful artefacts such as photo books and journals.

Popsa's approach has led to the company becoming one of the fastest growing startups in Europe. Popsa was named as the UK's fastest growing software company in 2020 and was placed 3rd (after Bulb & Revolut) overall in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50.

Popsa's focus is to further reduce the multi-hour process associated with printing photo albums. Already down to a few minutes, Popsa want to ultimately ensure the time required is zero. Moving forward, Popsa has no interest in simply being a ‘printing’ utility. Today’s app is just the start for this promising business.
