Company mission

To make it possible for anyone to successfully grow veg and herbs from home.

Our take

With the rise of environmental conscience, home-growing has shot up in popularity, but the reality of setting up a producing garden can be daunting for those who have never tried it before. Pot Gang is an easy way for people to get a start with gardening, with subscription boxes of seeds, pots, compost and guidance to grow seasonal vegetables and herbs.

Pot Gang was started during lockdown, after the founders began sharing a home with a balcony. Like many at the time, they decided to start home-growing as something to do, but they found there was a lack of advice tailored towards beginners. Pot Gang boxes were designed to be easy, with a small selection of seeds at a time and all the equipment needed to start them out. Importantly, the company includes instructions which are jargon-free, and each type of seed has a character and blog on the website.

Pot Gang began with twenty customers and has grown to over 30,000 since they went nationwide. With the sustainable and wellness trends still on the rise post-pandemic, the company may well cement itself in the UK gardening market.
