Our take

For the digitizing restaurant industry, Presto offers a series of solutions for streamlining services. Its server assistant tablets reduce time spent at a terminal, bringing digital order taking and payments right to the table. Presto Vision enables real time analysis of a drive-thru, while Presto Voice can take orders via an automated voice system. In addition, its QR code ordering and payment system allows for contactless dining and speedy takeaway services.

Through this combination of voice, vision, and touch solutions, Presto's platform acts as a comprehensive suite for clients to improve productivity and customer experience. While there are other businesses with similar technologies, Presto claims that its Android based server assistant tablets are significantly cheaper than those offered by the competition, while not compromising on functionality or reliability.

Presto's systems are in place at some of the top chain restaurants in the US including KFC, Starbucks, and Applebees. In 2022, Presto merged with the shell company Ventoux to go public, a success that the company says is due to Presto solving an urgent problem brought about by worker shortages in hospitality. In 2023 it secured new capital that will support the growth of its Presto VoiceTM AI, as well as fund the commercialization of its Flex product platform.
