Our take

ProWritingAid, founded in 2013 by Chris Banks, began as a personal solution to his own struggles with writing a novel about his South American travels. As a professional business writer, Banks created a tool to overcome challenges with this new style, and it has since evolved into a comprehensive writing assistant.

Unlike many tools that focus solely on grammar and spelling, ProWritingAid emphasizes the art of storytelling, offering in-depth analysis to help writers craft more engaging and effective narratives, whether for creative projects or business communications.

With over 3M users globally, ProWritingAid has made a significant name for itself. Fortune 500 companies leverage its tools for cost-effective staff training and to enhance communications. As it continues to expand its influence and provide value to its users, the future is bright for ProWritingAid.

  • Remote-First & Flexible Working: You’re free to work from wherever (and whenever) you’re happiest. While we’re registered in the UK, our team spans over ten countries across the globe
  • Clever People/Hard Problems: You will work with some of the most talented people in our industry. Language processing is one of the hardest problems in AI, so there are plenty of unsolved issues for you to get stuck into
  • Make a Difference: You get to work on a real-world problem and make a positive impact on wordsmiths around the world. Our users love the product, but there’s still a lot we can do
  • Small but Agile: ProWritingAid is a fast-growing, yet nimble company, so your work (code, fix, analyze, promote) is always delivered to our users and has a visible impact
  • Annual Meet Up: Every year we bring the full company together to plan, learn, and play. This year we met in Marrakesh, Morocco in October
