Make Britain better off in retirement by giving everyone the right pension plan to suit their individual circumstances.

Profile Pensions is the leading digital pensions adviser in the U.K. - the third-largest pension market in the world.
The fintech is well placed to disrupt the market which is dominated by traditional DIY operators such as Scottish Widows and Aviva who have largely failed to move with modern expectations of a digital-first experience and more importantly don’t advise people on what to do with their pensions.
By utilising a mix of technology and human expertise, Profile Pensions differentiates itself by providing anyone with a recommended pension plan that is personalised, updated automatically and affordable. Profile pensions are also unique in offering everyone a dedicated pension adviser to discuss their retirement goals if they choose to do so. They currently manage c.£1bn of assets for more than 23000 customers.
However, the company is not the first startup to go after this lucrative market. It faces competition from other startups such as Penfold and recently IPO’d PensionBee have also had success in this space.

Working in Profile Pensions has been great. I've been given exciting and challenging work in my time here. The team and company culture are great - everybody is easy going and there is a flat hierarchy overall. The level of autonomy really allows me to strive at my work.

In Profile Pensions we are given many opportunities to learn - we have a vast stack of diverse technologies, most of which I didn't use before I joined. I think it's a great place to work, as there is always something new that can be learned and explored in the existing stack. Furthermore, you're given dedicated time to explore new ideas and technologies each week.

People are really nice in Profile Pensions. Coming from a big corporate company, I really appreciate the openness and easygoingness of people. You're invited to participate in discussions with everyone and we have occasional get-togethers.

When I joined Profile Pensions, they assigned me a mentor for the first 3 month probation to help you navigate through the code base as well as business. I was exposed to front and back end as much as I want to from the beginning even though I were very junior.

I had a daily catchup with my mentor and 2 weekly catchups which my line manager during my probation. I can ask anything and not feel embarrassed about it. In the group projects, everyone can raise their opinions/concerns regardless of their positions.

Both of my managers are amazing and supportive! I still have a weekly catchup with my line manager after probation. He cares about my career development as well as my coding skills. He spent time to introduce me all about the code base which I am very grateful.

All teams work incredibly hard to achieve the company goal. I feel that all teams liaise really well together and I don't feel any divide between London and Preston which is a real credit to each member as we do only see each other roughly every 3 months.

I feel there is a lot of importance on staff wellbeing and Profile is incredibly accommodating when it comes to this. I don't feel I am seen as just a number and do feel that my wellbeing is really valued. There are a lot of examples of this but for me, being able to work from home during a difficult family time has really imprinted this. We do have incredible support from HR and this is felt be all members.
