Dental technology has advanced in leaps and bounds in recent years, but there is still room for innovation. With a global shortage of qualified dentists there has never been such a need to find efficiencies in the dental workflow. Promaton wants to automate this process using AI image analysis, speeding up dental care and allowing more patients to be treated.
Promaton takes advantage of the high level of technology typically deployed in dental practices. For instance, individual practices are likely to have access to digital x-ray equipment and CT scanners. At present, the company is working on AI-automating dental treatment planning for treatments such as implantology, prosthetics, and orthodontics through a significant partnership with Swiss dental implant manufacturer Straumann Group, greatly expanding Promaton's global reach.
Competitors exist in the AI-assisted dentistry space globally, but Promaton's current focus on implantology and orthodontics faces no major competitors in that niche.
